His jaw was clenched shut. His hand in a fist. If there was not an immediate threat to Tegan Val would of continued. Elsee’s shout snapped him out of his defensive mindset.

The healing rain fell upon his head. He was almost dry from the previous gallon of water. His tension and anxiety seemed to lift as the warm thick water glided over his skin.

He stepped back as he knew he would only get in the way. All of the movement and voices became out of focus as he stared at the muddy floor. He watched the water trail and gather as it slithered through pools of blood. The color reminded him of his mother’s hair. How long it has been…

Elsees words brought him out of it. All of the sounds caught up to him and were almost defining. He saw her stir.

“Tegan?”

The first raindrop caused Tegan to flinch at the foreign sensation, but the drumming of rainfall thereafter was a relief. She felt herself unwind, both mentally and physically and take in what was happening around her.

Rain. She opened her eyes and for the first time since she arrived through the portal what she saw made some sense. There were crowds of people surrounding her and there were supply wagons. Elsee? She knew she had just heard her voice a moment ago.

She inhaled slowly and then grimaced at the smell and taste of blood in her mouth. She then glanced down and realized the red liquid had surrounded her. Her breath caught in her chest and she had to mentally check in with her own body to figure out if she was the one badly injured. Elsee's healing spell had worked perfectly and she was left with very little pain. Only a dull headache from the hangover of different magics streaming through her.

“Tegan?”

Bright, worried filled eyes looked up to Valendil. "Val. What happened? Are you okay?" She reached out to him, trying to ensure that he was real.

------------

Keovi watched the whole ordeal with a look of half hearted amusement. Shaman healing was so archaic. He watched Valendil tend to Tegan and decided he would return to the group after they had settled and emotions weren't running as high.

Aknor, the Seargant, approached the dark priest and pointed at Tegan accusingly. "What in fell was that about?!"

The dark priest stared straight through the Orc leader and smirked, answering quietly as to not cause a riot in the crowd. "That was an assassination attempt. A terrible one, mind you, but one nonetheless."

Elsee's loose hair whipped around her from the wind spell she’d placed on herself to avoid getting wet. She had just gotten to the supply tent when an over eager orc peon rushed up behind her.
“Wa-ter and Cloth!”
Soaking wet, he held out to her a small skin of water and a damp tshirt. She gave him a look that would shoot daggers if possible. Rolling her eyes, she slapped the water skin from his hand and snatched the shirt from his other hand. Turning back to the supplies, she found a broken crate kicked into a corner.

Perfect.

Three pieces of wood were quickly tucked under her arm next to the shirt as she grabbed for a ball of twine. She bit the end of the twine and unrolled it about a yard, ripping it from its spool and tossing the excess back into the tent as she exited. Manuvering like a damn boss, she returned the wood to her hands, positioning all three and securing them with looping twine and a triple knot. Finishing her primitive totem, she quickened her pace back to where the others had been in the rain.
Blood had mixed with water and was already running down the tracks in the mud like a sort of Tegan-tea. The metalic smell was an unwelcome reminder. Once back to her group, Elsee pushed past Keovi and the Orc Officer, who seemed to be conversing lightly, shoulder-checking them both simultaneously. She lifted the skirt of her dress and knelt in the bloody mud next to her, wind spell moving the air around her and those within about a foot of her.  Rain still fell, but would simply run another direction.

"Don't move, okay?" She untucked the shirt from under her arm and used it to wipe some of the watered down blood from Tegan's face, hoping to assess the damage more. Balling it up, she tucked it between the Sin'dorei Commander's head and the ground. Her hands began to dig a small hole, placing the make-shift totem within it and packing  the mud around it to steady it. The whole shape pulsed when it came in contact with the earth, sending out a series of water droplets clinging to small bubbles. After circling the immediate area, the bubbles found their way to the injured parts of Tegan, and came to rest upon them. In a moment, they had all dissipated into her, hopefully resolving any deeper damage.

Elsee looked to Tegan with a sympathetic smile. “You know. If you’d wanted a better demonstration of my talents, t’is wasn’t the way to ask for it!”  Not really expecting a response as Val and Tegan were wrapped up in… whatever … she stood, wiping at nothing on the skirt of her dress and walked to where Keovi was. She took her place beside him, at a fair distance, giving him no more than a side glance.
“Sah. If you weren’t responsible for t’at… t’en how’d you know what creepy spell to use to help her out?”

Elsee's return caught Tegan's attention and the Commander looked up at her friend with confusion reflecting in her eyes. Without a weapon in her hands or a series of instructions leaving her lips, the female elf looked entirely too small and fragile to be a serious military figure.

"Don't move, okay?"
Tegan still had not pieced back together the events that had unfolded or how she had been injured, but from her expression it was clear she was trying. Her gaze shifted from Elsee to Valendil and then back again, but she obediently remained still. She allowed herself to be manipulated so the totem could be put into place with only light protest. "I'm fine..." She tried to convince the very concerned looking troll.

“You know. If you’d wanted a better demonstration of my talents, t’is wasn’t the way to ask for it!”

Tegan offered a sheepish smile. "Sorry. Over-did it, eh?" It was an attempt at humor to try and ease the worried faces around her.

-------------

The dark priest inclined his head toward Elsee and closed his eyes, listening as she spoke. His eyebrows then furrowed at the accusation in her question but he ignored it.

"I do not know what "creepy spell" was used. I only took it from her." He answered in short and then paused as he tried to find a simple way to explain. "Some priests have called upon the divine powers for the ability to give; they can give healing, give protection, create energy..." He shook his head. "I do the opposite. I take. I remove. I draw out energy..." His expression gentled again. "Does that make sense now?"

He folded his arms over his chest and turned his face back toward Aknor. "The 'catch' to this scenario is that I'll have to release this spell onto something. Or someone. Depending on what you prefer." He told the Seargant who looked simply horrified by the statement.

Val took a step back to allow room for Elsee to work. He watched in amazement at the ingenuity that she exuded as she crafted the totem from found objects. His previous assumptions had been true, Zau's training was still present. She just needed to be dropped into the fire to realize it.

“Elsee this is …..amazing….” He watched the small bubbles drift down and permeate Tegan's torso and face.

He watched her work in wonder.  His face resembling the look the orphans face took on when they gazed upon the great tree of Winter Veil.

He was overwhelmed by the humbling feeling of watching someone use a skill that was based around saving lives. Especially when you chose something as seemingly insignificant as training animals.

This changed when he overheard Keovi's words.

“The 'catch' to this scenario is that I'll have to release this spell onto something. Or someone. Depending on what you prefer."

He attached his bow to his back and spoke over the noise of the dimly lit tent “I got this..”

He made for the tent door “I will be right back Cozy.” he slapped his hand on Keovi's back with extra force applied. He ran like the wind.

Elsee let out a brief sigh before lifting her left hand to examine her nails. She picked at a splinter that had found its way to her thumb,  flicking it to the ground. Placing the same hand on Keovi's shoulder and leaning in, she spoke low so only he could hear her.

“Uh huh. Assassination from someone on our side of the war? of HER?!" She smiled widely in amused disbelief.  "Look... you're pretty cute, but you kinda creep me out.”

She pat his arm and let it drop. Then she smirked to herself, pleased to both compliment and burn at the same time. It was a loving gift her mother had passed along to her; as so many do. In her peripheral vision, she saw Val dart off on some urgent errand. Probably for fruits or a comb or something dumb.

Turning on her heel, she began sauntering away from the group back towards camp. But not before giving anyone watching a good sway to her hips as she did so. She drew her hands through her hair, giving  her head a shake and dropping it back to her shoulders.

Holy shit, girl. You nailed that. Nailed. It. You deserve at least an hour more nap time before you let them take down the tent.

Now, bring it home.

After she adjusted her top, she put a little bounce in her step as she wove gracefully back through the crowd. Moving the tent and supplies would have to wait until later. Besides, she needed a refresh before evening came. Especially after the gratuitous public display she was currently flaunting through the portal line.

Everything in her head had a numb buzz, like she'd held her breath for too long. But the eyes on her felt familiar and comforting.

And she was soaking it all in, like a warm washcloth on the face.

The "priest" turned his head toward Valendil and his eyebrows furrowed in a lack of understanding. Got what?

The hard pat on his back caused him to startle and he growled a low noise of irritation at the hunter as he left. The young shadow cleric didn't have much time to process what was happening before Elsee spoke.

“Uh huh. Assassination from someone on our side of the war? of HER?!" -- "Look... you're pretty cute, but you kinda creep me out.”

He immediately raised his hand to the owl in order to actually see Elsee; the young troll had left him momentarily speechless.

He recovered but only after Elsee had made it a pace or two away.

"I can only guess..." He admitted to the inability to determine who exactly placed the spell on Tegan but failed to comment on Elsee calling him 'creepy cute'. He watched her walk away with the aid of the owl's sight, shaking his head as if to rid himself of whatever thought crossed his mind.

----
The Commander watched as Valendil ran off in search of something and a momentary look of distress could be found in her eyes before her attention was brought back by how close Elsee got to the dark priest.

If circumstances had been different she may have dragged Elsee away from the hated priest with lectures about dangerous strangers abound. However, in her current predicament, she felt rather helpless. She was soaking wet from blood, mud, and rain and the horrified looks from spectators made her to believe she must have been in rough shape.

Keovi offered Tegan a hand up as she tried to stand and she ignored it, managing to find her balance on her own.

"Stubborn." He accused with a word.

"If you're looking for thanks, you're more blind than I thought." She exhaled under her breath, her words saturated with loathing. She finally stood up straight and was able to look around her. Aknor was off to the side attempting to herd the crowds back into some formation of a line, but Elsee and Valendil were both out of sight.

She side glanced the priest, now uneasy that they had been left together alone. She turned to look behind her at the portal.

"Will I be able to go back through?" She asked, keeping her gaze on the portal.

Keovi smirked to himself when she asked him the question. "Depends..."

The thick breathing was rhythmic, seemingly echoing around it. Her mouth agape chewing, thick foam building up creating an off white brown froth.  Val stared into the flaring nostrils. Encrusted and cracked  from years of sinus infections and sloppy care. The old giant boar stared into oblivion not giving any mind to the elf staring at it.

A silhouette of an enormous cleaver loomed behind her.

Val leaned against the railing doing his best to not breathe through his nose. He looked at the beast with respect as he tended to do with most of the animals of Azeroth. Val had sadness in his eyes knowing what must be afflicted to this beast. He found solace in the fact that she lived a long life and obviously ate well.

“Alright big girl” He lept over the railing into the makeshift pen. The actual size of this boar was not clear until he was standing near it. A Tauren could easily ride this beast into battle be it this was years ago in the boars prime. It was now old, close to the vale of the next life.

“Alright I'm going to get near you, and you are not going to turn me inside out…Friends don't gore friends….?”

He slowly made his way to the boars head, his hands out and open wide to show he carried nothing of ill intent. He looked into the glassy black dot of an eye peering out between two thick dry eyelids.

“That’s it. Hi there… easy…. Easy. “ He put his hand out until it gently tapped the side of its snout. The boar snorted and recoiled. She jerked her head away spattering droplets of mud across Val's chest and pants. He recoiled his hand but  returned it and laid it flat on the snout. He knew how to deal with most animals, ancient boars were no different.

He quietly began to hum an old Sin'dorei song he used to fall asleep to when he was a boy.
----------------------------------------

“ Pardon, excuse me… Pardon… Watch out there!” The boar was now harnessed up with expertly knotted rope. She was lumbering through the crowd, destroying what she stepped on under her weight. Most who saw her coming thought it was a loose boar roaming through the line. As their gaze panned up they were greeted with an apologetic smile from a muddy elf.

The distant yells of the meat butcher filled the air behind him.
---------------------------------------

“Keovi….KEOVI” Val yelled into the tent that the events just played out in. He sat atop waiting for the blind elf to show his face.

Elsee stepped through the threshold of their make-shift tent with no walls. The stone guardian she'd summoned to stand watch was doing his job well, blocking any on-lookers or confused lads that had wandered after her like a dangling carrot.
She laid down on the hammock once more, placing a spare shirt over her eyes and letting out a groaning sigh. The sounds of the line moving around her, with people gathering their things, proved to be quite the annoyance.

"And DONT come back til t'is evening!!"

"Depends..." -- Keovi's original thought was interrupted by the sound of his own name being shouted in the distance. He lifted a hand to his forehead and rubbed his temple. "I'm not deaf."

"...A pig?" The question was rhetorical as the shadow priest's nose flared at the smell. He paused and then turned his head in Valendil's general direction. "I hope you have no attachment to this creature."

Tegan had missed what Keovi had said about needing to release the spell onto something living. Her emerald eyes quickly traveled in between Valendil and Keovi. "What is he talking about?" She asked Val, her tense body language suggesting that she wanted to stop Keovi from whatever he was intending to do.

Keovi beckoned for Valendil to come with him. "They don't need to see this." He decided it would be best if Elsee and Tegan were spared from whatever the spell would do to the boar. Tegan opened her mouth to protest but found Aknor's hand on her shoulder. The wise Orc shook his head and gently redirected her. "Commander Tegan should get cleaned up and rest..."

Tegan wanted to protest but the reality of the issue was that whatever was happening was her fault. Her ears lowered and she nodded in defeat, heading back into the tent despite Elsee's request to start the process of removing her soaked armor and attempt to clean herself up.

---

Assuming that the hunter would follow, Keovi would lead them both to the very outskirts of the post so that the majority of the individuals could no longer see them.

"You'll want to step back." He warned and raised his hands. Dark magic already forming at the tips of his fingers to create a small cloud of crackling energy. "...and you may not want to watch."

The scene that unfolded next was like a nightmare.

Keovi pushed the spell onto the boar by physically placing his hands onto the beast. As soon as the dark energy cloud caught onto the living creature it engulfed it. Keovi immediately stepped back away from the beast after the deed had been done.

The poor creature began to shriek and Keovi grimaced at the horrible noise. No matter how much death he interacted with; he wasn't immune the the sounds of suffering.

The squealing only ceased after a large 'thud' was heard and the giant boar collapsed to the ground onto its side. Or at least, at first, that is what it appeared. The spell had cleaved the body in half from between its eyes down its spine; sending the other side of the boar to Draenor.

The smell of blood and emanated from the body and Keovi covered his nose and mouth with his sleeve. What a mess.

He lifted his free hand and spoke a short phrase in Thalassian. The remaining half of the carcass would then begin to burn.

"Fast thinking, nature-boy." He finally addressed Valendil with an amused tone of voice. "...and to think, that could have been the pretty little Commander."

The flames licked the air as they lept from the half of the boar. Thick black smoke vomited from the corpse and spiraled into the sky. He stared at this beast that became a reminder of death and darkness that surrounded him again. This was exactly why he returned to Darkmoon. His days of tending to the animals to the sound of laughter has been replaced by this.

“You always have to be careful what you wish for.” he quietly said under his breath to no one in particular. He realized he was still holding onto the rope that lead to the pile of bubbling flesh. He half heartedly dropped it. His arms hung loosely.

“Tell me plainly, straight forward. None of this mysterious flowery language. Why does the Com-” He paused “Tegan… Why does Tegan despise you?”

The Stone Guardian was still standing watch as she just barely started to drift off.

The pile of chain mail and leather amour was completed by topping it off with one pair of soaked socks. A now smaller, softer looking elf sat beside the dripping clothing with a discouraged look on her face; somehow, she had forgotten to pack and extra set of civilian clothes for this trip to Orgrimmar. In her defeat, she bit her lower lip and looked over herself; a semi-dry undershirt and damp leggings. She... needed to borrow some clothing. A shirt at the very least.

"Elsee?" She was gentle as she could be attempting to wake her friend. By the stars....how pathetic am I?

--------------------------------------

“Tell me plainly, straight forward. None of this mysterious flowery language. Why does the Com-” -- “Tegan… Why does Tegan despise you?”

The milky-green gaze of the shadow priest traveled to Valendil's direction. As requested, his answer was simple.

"I was instructed to end the life of a young girl who was slowly dying."

He began on calm purposeful footsteps back toward the encampment.

"In Commander Tegan's book I am a murderer."

Elsee pulled the shirt off of her face, startled that someone had actually made it into the room. When she saw it was Tegan, she let out a relieved sigh.

"Ohmy...Jeez Girl you scared the crap outta me!" She held the shirt to her chest, trying to calm her heart for a minute before processing her actual request. "Oh sorry, Here!!" She tossed Tegan the tiny shirt she was holding.

(THIS ONE)

"It'll be cute on you!...Just uh... use some of Val's leat'er scraps to wipe up first." She smiled as nicely as she could, a bit horrified of her top becoming a sponge to her friends fluids. Her hand pointed to Val's things nearby where they'd slept. "Just be careful of the boxes... Creepster made t'em hard to see, and I don't know how to turn it off."

The hammock creaked under the sound of her rising and adjusting to swing her feet over the edges for balance. "You know, I could do your hair sometime, too. You, know... if you want." She waited for Tegan to change, swinging her bare feet. "Maybe a little makeup to hide-" She put her hand in front of her face and made a general circular motion, "all... t'at.."
Her eyes squinted and she smiled sickly sweet.

Val lingered a moment longer on the pile of horror. It for some reason reminded him of something Juni would of done. He shuddered. He broke his gaze and lightly strode to match paces with the darkly clad companion.

“Again with the mysterious thing. You were ordered to kill a young girl? Ohh of course I should of figured. Just your everyday request.” Val walked backwards and acted like he was an overbearing mother. Hand on hip and wagging his finger looking down to an invisible Keovi. “My black rose, please take this letter down to the postmaster but NOT until you are done removing the life of that little neighbor girl.”

As he turned to continue forward his eyes landed on a apricot sitting alone on a Horde branded crate. He swiped the small fruit and was using it to point at Keovi to hammer home his words.

“ You just cast your line into the creepy pool, You need to clear this up.”

He stepped on Keovi's cloak in an attempt to stop him in his tracks.

“Right now.”

"Sorry!" Tegan winced when Elsee startled. A second later she found herself holding the "shirt" and she had to turn it over in her hands a few times before she realized that ... it wasn't the "leather scraps" Elsee had been talking about. That was the shirt.

She laughed nervously. Cute? "If you say so..." She sounded skeptical but appreciative nonetheless.

After the realization of what she was holding sunk in, she carefully set the shirt to the side and then followed her friend's instructions in regards to finding some material to towel off with.

Creepster? It took her a moment to figure out who Elsee was referring to and she felt her smile fade. She forced it back after she composed herself. "Thanks for the warning."

She faced away from Elsee and after she had managed to wipe herself clean of the blood and mud she could find, she slipped the "shirt" on and turned back around toward her new friend. She could already feel heat in her cheeks at the overwhelming embarrassment of the entire situation.

"I'm such a mess." She laughed softly, able to make fun of herself. "...if you think you can do damage control, I won't stop you." Her hand held the shirt together in front of her chest so that there wasn't a gap showing her mid-drift.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Impersonations of Keovi's dead mother caused a silent snarl to tug at his upper lip. The hunter's words had clearly struck a dangerous chord with the dark priest.

"Enough." He barked once. He couldn't see the gestures that Keovi was making -- nor the set up prior to Valendil stepping on the back of his cloak and causing him to be jerked back.

Dark energy then roared from the priest's entire being as the cleric rapidly transformed into a literal shadow of his former self. He whipped around toward Valendil, white energy glowing in the place of where eyes should have been. In this form, he seemed to be able to pin-point the hunter quite accurately.

"Let me make this crystal clear then." His voice was threatening. "Both you and the "Commander" have a terrible attachment to small problems in a very large world. The girl was supposed to die in history. She wasn't from our time and cannot exist in our time." He explained. His anger began to fade and slowly he returned to his physical self.

Once he was whole again, he added the last piece of explanation. "Tegan believes General Malvorek gave the order to kill the girl. This was not truth; it came from Thrall." He would let the heavy knowledge sink in, again trying to walk toward the camp.

"...You can decide what is best for Tegan to believe."

“Well that was cute.”

Val fixed his hair as the dark energy kicked up a bit of a breeze. He threw the apricot up slightly and caught it.

“There he is,  I knew there real you was brooding deep down in there. Just  had to press all the buttons.” He wiggled his fingers.

“ Didn't know the mother button would reveal your somehow even more macabre side.”

He took a bite of the fruit and didn't take a beat, chewing as he spoke.

It makes sense with the whole... “ he made claw like hands “Grrrr, Argghhhh. Should of figured, its always the mom with you Sunwell vampires.”

He gave a wink. Took another bite of the Apricot and walked back towards the camp.
"Oh and you absolutely better believe I will chose whats best for her."

He took a different route than Keovi back.

Elsee bounced from the hammock, clapping her hands together excitedly.

“It’s going to take some work.....hmm.... but I t’ink I’ll manage!” She grabbed a couple things from her pack, including a wide-toothed carved comb and piece of ribbon. As she walked past Tegan, she smacked at her hands that were holding the shirt closed in front. Once she’d circled around to stand behind Tegan, she took stock of her hair. A sigh escaped her and she shook her head. She reached up and grasped the tight tie that held Tegan’s ponytail in place, sliding it from its place and casually tossing it to the ground.

After combing most of the mess out of Tegan’s hair- tangles and bits of drying blood, she used the edge of the comb to start sectioning small pieces. She knew what she was going for.
Homegirl needed some braids.

“SooooooooooooooOoOoOOoo?!” Elsee dragged out the vowel in a rising tone. Her hands crossed each other, holding small sections of hair. She used one hand to tilt Tegan’s head to the side for a better angle, narrowing one eye for focus. One section of hair was brought to her mouth, holding its position as she weaved others around it. A tug to straighten out the first braid helped make it tighter.

“Tell me about Dark and Spooky! How long have you known him? He single?” She then added to herself. “Not t’at it would stop me…” Giggling, she wrapped the tail of a second braid around Tegan’s head and tilted her head the other way. Elsee began a new braid from the nape of her neck upwards to the others.  After she’d finished she looped the ribbon through the various braids securing them to the top of her head:

The dark cleric muttered a string of unfriendly descriptive words for Valendil as he made his way back for camp.

These fools want everything to be simple. Black or white. Evil or benevolent.

His thoughts were poisonous to their cause. In Keovi's world view, there was no way that the "Bleeding Heart Commander" and her rag-tag sidekicks were going to survive this war; too easily side tracked by their own priorities to deal with the bigger picture. He held little faith in their endeavors.

The transformation into his shadow form left his physical body shaking from left over adrenaline. The tremors irritated him as he could not force them to stop despite his efforts to become composed.

Monstrous. Demonic. Out of control.

Keovi's fate had been predicted to end up as such. He refused it.

He would take his time returning back to the camp site; not willing to let the other two companions view the after effects of phasing.

Wide emerald eyes stared at Elsee in disbelief after her hands were smacked but she obediently dropped them to her sides. The vest felt entirely too big on her frame, unable to fill the same bust ratio as her new troll friend. The modest elf could feel the heat of embarrassment radiating in her cheeks.

Despite feeling as though she could die from self-consciousness in that very moment, Tegan offered Elsee an appreciative smile.

"You're so kind to me. I can't remember getting this sort of treatment even from my sisters." Tegan admitted. The once hunter turned Commander had the blood-lines of infamous magi and yet she couldn't even accomplish the most simple of spells. The youngest out of her large group of siblings she had been the black sheep, left to her own devices on how to interact in the world without magic to aid her.

Tegan tried to remain as still as possible and offered no sounds of fussing even when the tangles of her hair were being tugged through. Still recovering from her morning misfortune, she was unusually reserved until Elsee's question.

Tegan blinked once in confusion. However, a split second later the Commander let her stoic demeanor slip in order to give Elsee an easily readable look that seemed to exclaim: Are you out of your mind?!

"Please tell me you aren't talking about the Dark Priest..." Tegan pleaded with her. She sounded as though she were really looking out for Elsee's best interest.

"That man... No. That -monster- is a summary of everything wicked and vile in this world." Tegan blurted. She kept the look of disapproval on her features for only a moment longer until she realized how she sounded and she back peddled some.

"I need to hush. Here you are taking care of me and I'm barking like a war head." Her ears lowered and she looked up to her friend apologetically. "...I just don't want him sucking your soul dry... or... whatever it is that he does. I tend to be too protective."

Re: Orgrimmar - The Portal Line

The large pile of crates next to the groups camp had gotten larger and taller throughout the morning. With the group numbers finally being called it was as frantic as ever. The backup at the portal turned out to be an opportunity for some to haggle and barter more goods and take full business advantage of the passage. Val decided to approach the camp not from the normal path but from over the boxes and down.

Val kind of dropped down from above the top of the canopy that Elsee and Tegan were sitting in. He landed with a thunk onto a crude wooden crate. His arms were out in a sort of ‘Tadaa!’ pose.

“Im hoooooommmme!” He yelled a bit too loudly on purpose. He gave a wink to Elsee and looked over to where an elf sat. His head bounced back on his neck and he paused as he caught his words.

“The ..” He points to his own hair.
“And the..” He pointed to his chest

Val brought his hand up over his eyes for a moment and then he moved a finger up to peek out.

“The portal has scrambled her mind. Is that what can happen? They sent back a princess of the Sin’dorei instead of the..” he used a robotic voice “Commander”

He was still peeking through his fingers. He bought his finger down to block his vision but instantly popped it back up.

Elsee let out a full on scream when Val dropped into their small space. Her eyes went wide as they could as she remained frozen for about a minute chest heaving. By the time he went on to attempt to describe Tegan’s ‘look’ she had a much different posture.

Her brow was pressed in a scowl as she pursed her lips. Her eyes shot to her Stone Guardian who’d been watching the part of the tent nearest the road. He was already slowly circling the posts of the tent in his lumbering way. All the while Val was busy playing peek-a-boo. Two giant stone hands that grasped him by his arms. The Guardian squeezed his hands together and lifted Val straight off the ground until the elf’s feet dangled.

“Smaaashhhh???” The Guardian rumbled out with its ‘head’ fixed forward looking into nothing. Elsee let out a sigh and waved her hand.

“As much as I wish, No. Don’t smash. Put him down. But you don’t have to do it gently.”

Her hand moved up to her neck and flipped her hair back over her shoulder as her other came to rest on her hip.

Valendil appeared like a magic trick and Tegan's hands flew up to tug the fabric of her shirt closed in response.

As he was striking his 'Tadaa!' pose, the half-shirted Tegan pointedly looked straight at Elsee as if looking for some form of rescue from her embarrassment.

"The.." -- "And the--"

Tegan covered her face with one hand and a nervous laugh escaped her lips. "I know I'm not very good at it but Elsee was kind enough to remind me that I am still a girl." She quipped at Valendil in light humor.

“The portal has scrambled her mind. Is that what can happen? They sent back a princess of the Sin’dorei instead of the..”--“Commander”

She glanced back to give him a dry look when suddenly; stone guardian! The creature had Valendil like a rag doll.

Tegan forgot herself and immediately stood up and raised her arms as if she were going to try and aid the captured hunter some how.

--------

Keovi arrived at the scene just as Valendil was lifted by the stone guardian. The dark priest had borrowed sight from his feathered companion and arched an eyebrow as the owl focused on the small group.

'....What a dysfunctional lot.' This particular thought wasn't voiced.

He paused outside of the camp and calmly folded his arms across his chest, watching the scene unfold. An eyebrow quirked at the piece of fabric Elsee had claimed was a shirt draped over the Commander.

One evening away from the battlefield and this is how she turns out...?

Silent judgement was evident on the priest's features.

“Down b-o---y” Val barely squeaked out. He did feel a pop deep in his vertebra as the stone mits held him tightly. Every breath he took the hands pushed in a little tighter. Right at the moment he started to panic he was released landing on his feet. He stumbled forward onto his knee. He stood shakily gesturing to Elsee

“We need to put a bell on that thing or something…” He left his arm draped across his ribs. He went back to the box that he dropped down on and leaned against it. He smiled and pointed his chin at Tegan

“ Hows the time leaper doing?” He quickly added “What were you doing anyways… and if you can just go through whenever you want…” Val pointed to himself then to Elsee and then to everything around them “Why are we ahhh… sitting here?”

Elsee flit across the room to the Stone Guardian and gave him an overly affectionate pat on the ‘chest’. She cooed at him, pouting her lips.

“Ohh my loooove! You don’t need a bell. No you DON’T! No! You’re so good the way you are!” She moved her fingers under the stone guardian’s chin, kissing the air at him. He waited for her to stop, and moved away from her, returning to his original post near the street.

She ignored Val’s question, but when he motioned to her she turned her head away quickly to illustrate how mad she still was at him. Perfect. It was then that Keovi’s return had caught her eye. She reached up and tucked some loose hair behind her ear, studying him as she did so.

“That -monster- is a summary of everything wicked and vile in this world.” Tegans words. They echoed in Elsee’s head like a dull rhythm. She knew each word, but something inside her teenage brain kept her from putting them all together in one continual string of thought. In fact to Elsee, each word took on almost it’s antithesis as they rattled about her skull.
Monster. Just misunderstood. Wicked- Ooo. He’s got an edge for surprising choices. Vile- Annnd he makes boring girls like Tegan uncomfortable. World. So he’s well known, huh?

She bit her lower lip to keep from laughing out loud at her own thoughts. And at this point obviously made no attempts to disguise the fact that she was blatantly staring him up and down. She couldn’t help but wait a few moments before breaking her silence.

“I didn’t t’ink you’d be back, Spooky. T’ought you’d be heading back to some dusty old library by now.”

Her back arched in unison with her arms folding just underneath her chest.  She tilted her chin down, looking at him through her eyelashes.  A devious smirk worked at the corners of her mouth.

Thankfully, Valendil seemed to recover quickly from the Stone Guardian's wrath and Tegan's wide-eyed look of worry subsided.

His questions caused a sheepish smile to appear on her lips. "...Those are really good questions." She paused and then realized she had been starting there in front of him with her "shirt" revealing more of her midsection than she would have preferred.

"Before I answer though, can I borrow a shirt?" She asked Valendil, giving Elsee an apologetic smile. "...like, a whole one?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Elsee's interaction with the Stone Guardian was the last thing Keovi saw before having to break the spell with his familiar.

What an odd troll...

At Elsee's comment, he smirked but it lacked any sort of warmth or humor to it. "Although a dusty old library would be a much preferred climate, I now have an obligation to make sure two of you do not blunder into oblivion."

"I will be accompanying you through the portal into Draenor." He stated as a matter of fact.
